Can I use any gun with your laser cartridge?

Yes! Use the cartridge that matches the gun you want to train with.


Will dry fire damage the gun?

No. A built in snap cap will protect the gun from causing any damage.


Do I have to rack the slide/cock hammer after every shot?

If you are using single action, you will need to do it. (Glock, XD, 1911) You will not need to do it if you are using double action. (Beretta 92, P226)


Does the laser training cartridge eject?

No. These cartridges do not have rims, so the extractor will not pull them out. You can press them out with a cleaning rod or pencil when you are done training.


The Laser doesn't always seem to be activated when I pull the trigger. What can I do to make it work?

Due to the design and tolerance differences in the firearms, the nominal cartridge length may be slightly too short for your firearm to activate the laser reliably. First check if that is the case by pressing down the Back Cap using your finger tip to verify the working condition of the cartridge. Then slowly rotate the Back Cap by 1/2 rotation to see if that improves the activation mechanism without damaging your firearm. You may repeat the 1/2 rotation for up to 4 times (for a total of 2 1/2 rotations,) provided that it causes no damages to your firearm or the cartridge.


What is the range of the laser?

As far as the laser will go, which will depend on conditions. 20 - 25 yards should be no issue under most conditions. Longer ranges are not recommended unless you are using them in a dark lighting condition.


What is the recommended range of practice with the G-Sight Laser Training Pro App?

5 to 12 ft under normal indoor lighting condition.


What is the warranty?

All our products carry a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty, if not specified otherwise. For example, all the G-Sight Laser Cartridges carry a 1 year limited warranty from G-Sight.


What is the return policy?

Try it for 14 days risk free. If it doesn't work for you, you may ship it back for a refund. Unless the product is defective, the shipping costs are not refundable. Please let us know ahead of time if you need a longer trial time.


How do I know if the laser cartridge is working (and the battery isn't dead)?

Simply press down the black 'back cap' of the cartridge using your finger and the Laser should be activated. If not, either the battery or the cartridge may be bad.


Are the laser cartridges compatible with other systems?

They are compatible with Itarget Pro, Laserlyte targets, LASR, and ShootOFF. We have not tested them with Shot Veryfier, LaserRange, or any other systems.


Does your App work on all iOS devices?

Our App does not support any Chinese or Russian brand phones. (If you are an American and your department/organization issues Chinese brand phones, please contact us and we may provide a custom solution free of charge*.) To ensure performance, our iOS App is fully tested for all iPhone models and iPod Gen 6 and above running iOS version 10.0.3 and above. Because some of the iPads are not as powerful, they are not fully supported at the present time.

Does your App work on all Android phones?

To ensure performance, our Android App requires a full-featured Android smart phone of version 6.0 and above. In addition, your smart phone should have at least 1 GB RAM (2G recommended,) a screen size of minimum 600 x 1024, and a fully software controllable built-in HD rear camera. (Our software needs to control the camera settings to do its magic so that you don't.) Generally, Google Play Store will not let you install our App on your device if it is not qualified. Please check compatibility and don't just assume it will work, especially on a 3-year or older device. (Support for Android 5.0/5.1 devices is available upon request.)


Does your App work on Android tablets?

Any Android tablet that meets the requirement for the smart phones will work. As of 2017, the rear camera of most of the Android tablets are not HD quality and can't be fully controlled by a software. Please don't assume that you high-end Android tablet will work without checking it on the Google Play Store for the compatibility of our App. Only when the Google Play Store says it is compatible you can then safely assume that it will work.


Does Your App work with Bluetooth Earbuds?

Sorry the BT Earbuds are not supported as of Jan, 2019. Engineering will schedule the support in future releases as early as possible.


Why does the .308/7.62x51mm cartridge say .243 on the packaging?

The manufacturer designed the cartridge to work with both calibers.


What type of battery is used in the Gen 2 9mm cartridge?

The Gen 2 9mm cartridge uses the AG4 (also known as LR626) Alkaline Cell battery.


Will your phone holder work for all smart phones with a case ?

Yes. Our phone holder has 2 clips, one on either side. The bigger clip can hold up a 10" iPad on its shorter side (without case.)


Do you ship international?

Not at this time. Our system is under ITAR control and requires a license for exporting. Unless you are willing to cover the license cost we can't sell anything outside the US territory. Please follow the law if you plan to take the system abroad.


Why is my phone call not answered?

Our phone system screens out calls without Caller ID. Please make sure your Caller ID is set up when calling us. Sometimes we get more calls than we can immediately handle. Please leave a message and we'll get back to you in 24 hours.
